Latest Service Update

The service's priority is to safeguard the welfare of our staff and customers during the COVID-19 outbreak. We would like to re-assure you that we are working hard to minimise the impact on all of our customers. The Building Control team will continue to operate a service as close to normal as possible.

We are introducing a risk based approach to site inspections. This will enable virtual inspections to be undertaken where appropriate. Please take time to read our site inspection guidelines with regard to your responsibilities when booking inspections. 

At present, our staff are working remotely. Please see our area map for your local Building Control Surveyor's contact details.

Please be aware that we are unable to accept hard copy applications and can only accept card payment over the telephone (no cheques).  Please be assured that this will not affect how we will process your application, deal with plan checking and respond to technical queries. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you. Thank you for your support and understanding at this time.  We will keep the situation under review and updates will be posted on our website.
